I exist because of snow.

That is the foundation, the unshakable underpinning of how I place myself in the world. I don’t live for snow, though. In another lifetime, or multiple lifetimes, I certainly did. But not now. This timeline is an evolution of that feening for snow to feeling into it. I’ve let snow in all its facets, create for me the space to allow for my metamorphosis.

The majority of my life is spent outside adventuring and exploring. My primary, and favorite, mode of transportation is my feet. Most of the time, I prefer to have my feet clamped in boots and attached to skis. Other times, I like my feet to breathe a little in mesh or webbing covered in dust and mud, or nice cold water.

I believe that travel is essential to learning about different cultures and how they interact with their environments, and in turn how to be more conscious and intentional with how I interact with mine. I want to share my experiences in these far flung places in order to help inspire curiosity and connection. My stories aim to highlight context that can move people to connect with, identify and pursue their own creative sparks.

When we venture out beyond the familiar, well worn paths of our daily lives is when we begin to open to the curiosity of human-ness. Part of my journey is learning how to share these experiences in a way that makes an impact. As a woman in the outdoors I see that there is an imperative set before me, and all of us, to be unrelenting and uncompromising in our pursuit of our vision.

Until then, I’ll be here weaving an energetic web of support for those who share a radically rooted vision of the future.

When Stiff and sore and scarred
I take away my hand
From leaning on it hard
In grass and sand,

The hurt is not enough:
I long for weight and strength
To feel the earth as rough
To all my length.
— Robert Frost, "To Earthward" 1916
